The Story

Many years after his studies with the medicine men of the Western Caroline Islands, the dark-haired man rode on horseback along the Northern shore of the Big Island of Hawaii. There he met the Honolulu bio-chemist, who, with a Hawaiian guide, would show them through the unmarked trails to the beds of aloe vera from which the recent samples had been taken. The scientist explained that the molecular structure of the liquid which was poured from these plants was rich in micro-nutrients that were 30 times more powerful than any aloe vera that he had tested previously. The rich scents of flowers and jungle growth surrounded them.

They rode for several hours. Deep and dark and rich and fragrant, the tropical rain forest seemed to close in around them. They heard the waterfall long before they saw it. Birds and butterflies rustled in the trees above them, and finally a fine mist of fragrant water which dampened their clothes indicated that they were close to the spot where the special plant samples had been taken only a few days before. Double rainbows encircled the top of the falls, which cascaded down the dark volcanic rocks to crystal clear pools below. Nearby, the sun permeated the green canopy of vines and trees, and great patches of spiky aloe vera grew in profusion. The guide snapped a stem and poured the liquid into his hand. Like an effervescent wine, the liquid sparkled and danced in his palm. The doctor and the scientist knelt on the ground beside him. "It's not a gel, really, like our Mainland plant, but rather, a liquid... so fine and rich." The doctor rubbed the liquid between his hands and said, "I think this is what we've been looking for."

It was nearly five years before they met again, these three, and once again they rode to the waterfall, eleven miles from any designated markers. This time, they set up a camp, where they stayed for several days. The scientist loved his work with the tiny samples that the doctor and the guide brought to him. They were looking for a way to bring stability to the major elements of the skin nutrient that they were developing. They combined the Aloe Vera, with the rich, pure oil of Aleurites Molucanna, whose dusty green leaves surrounded them in the clearing. The nut of the Aleurites Molucanna, the Kukui, had been known by the Hawaiians for centuries for its protective, healing properties. It softened the skin, and caused blemishes and unsightly lines and spots to fade away. And so, these three, working with the combinations of plants which appeared in that sacred place, invented the formula that we know today as Nurturaa Nutrient.
